Be the flow.
Change, movement, transformation, inner peace.
Be the flow, and there is no I and no You.
We all are One.
Be the flow.
Beauty and life unfold effortlessly.

When first receiving Jin Shin Jyutsu,
I was a boat floating on the ocean waves.
Spontaneous laughter bubbled up from inside.

We are the pulse of rhythm and energy.
Our natural state is to be the flow.
When there is no limitation,
We live simply in health and harmony.

Alison Hammer Winans

Alison is a gifted and dedicated healing professional who combines a compassionate heart and a magic touch with outstanding technical skill and expertise. She has assisted people from many walks of life with their journeys of personal healing and transformation.

Following an Honors degree in Social Psychology, she was one of the founders of a vegetarian restaurant co-operative. Moving on from that success, her attention turned to holistic health. Alison has been a practitioner and devoted student of Jin Shin Jyutsu® physio-philosophy since 1984, and is certified to teach self-help Jin Shin Jyutsu classes. Additionally, she is a certified yoga instructor (World Yoga Center, NY), acupressure therapist (Acupressure Inst., Berkeley, CA), and breathwork therapist (Hendricks Inst., Santa Barbara, CA). Alison has been NCCAOM certified in Asian Bodywork since 1998. Find out more about Jin Shin Jyutsu.

Before coming to Philadelphia in 2003, Alison maintained a Jin Shin Jyutsu practice in the San Francisco Bay Area for 18 years. She also taught yoga for 15 years and presented numerous classes in self-help Jin Shin Jyutsu and other topics relating to wellness and stress reduction. Alison’s work as a healer has been deepened through her own healing journey, following an episode of breast cancer in 2002. She experienced a profound healing moving through the body into the depths of her psyche and spirit. Now she especially enjoys helping and supporting those who are faced with deep life challenges and transitions.

While diving deep into herself, latent creativity was unleashed and the words and images flowed as she began to write her first book. Her memoir is still in progress, with a working title of Unseen Hands. Find out more about Alison’s book. Or read some of Alison’s other articles and stories.

Her other interests include walking in nature, birdwatching, singing, making art, gardening, cooking and reading. She loves cats, flowers, Hawaii and birthdays.
